The History of Architecture
Because of its strategic location along the important east-west and north-south trading routes, Corfu has always played a major role in Mediterranean history. Numerous invaders came and went, including the Greeks, Romans, Goths, Byzantines, Normans, Venetians, and British, to mention a few! With temples, castles, and a diverse range of architectural styles, there is still a great deal of evidence of the region's rich historical and cultural legacy.
Dynamic Social Environment
Although a lot of our Corfu villas are located in quiet villages, there are always vibrant tavernas nearby that host live music events and dancing on the weekends. Ipsos and other vacation spots have a lot of clubs, pubs, and music bars that provide an amazing nightlife, making them excellent choices for parties after a long day by the pool. You'll have a terrific time, as the friendly locals hope.
Beautiful Beaches
Here in Corfu, you can find any type of beach you could dream of. Little, undiscovered pebbly bays and picturesque coves accessible only by boat can be found, as well as vast stretches of fine sand with all the amenities you could want. There are beaches that are kid-friendly, have shallow waters and a gentle slope, and others that offer every kind of water sport imaginable. The majority of the island's beaches feature one or more beach bars in addition to a selection of waterfront eateries serving deliciously fresh fish for lunch or dinner.
Aqualand Waterpark
The only waterpark on the island is in Agios Ioannis, just outside Corfu Town. Aqualand is in fact one of the largest waterparks in Europe with a big selection of rides and activities for all ages (including a very sedate 'lazy river' for older party members!) It has a couple of cafes and snack bars, a small shopping area and plenty of sun loungers. It is open daily during the summer.
Boat Trips
The stunning 14-meter motor yacht Nautilus provides excursions along the island's northeast coast as well as trips to Corfu Town. In addition to offering a BBQ, the boat allows guests to swim and snorkel. Small boats in Paleokastritsa can accommodate up to 20 passengers on short trips to the neighboring caves. The tours are a great way to take in the stunning scenery and tiny caves of the west coast, and they last for about an hour.
